The NGGP is a competitive, rigorous, year-long fellowship and internship program designed to cultivate the next generation of visionary public sector leaders aged 30 and under. Tailored for exceptional graduates, the program provides practical tools, in-depth knowledge, and hands-on experience at the Citadel School of Government.
Fellows engage full-time as working interns, gaining real-world governance experience while taking part in a year-long training programme and actively contributing to the management of CSG’s academic and non-academic programs. At the end of the year, fellows will take a special examination, with final assessments based on academic performance and professional evaluation as interns.
Upon successful completion, fellows earn the Certificate in Public Leadership Development, solidifying their expertise in governance and leadership. The program is ideal for fresh graduates, particularly those serving in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), offering them a unique opportunity to develop skills, build networks, and gain meaningful experience in the public sector.
