Dr. Tunde Bakare

Tunde Bakare was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1981 and practiced as a lawyer before his call into ministry in 1989. He is actively committed to the emergence of the New Nigeria and most notably since 2010 he has been consistently involved in engineering political shifts in Nigeria through thought leadership, creating propositional platforms towards political participation, providing advisory services through key policy input and fostering coalition-building across divides. He has remained a foremost voice in bridging the gap between the pulpit, governance and politics and the people of Nigeria through his pioneering work as the serving overseer of The Citadel Global Community Church (formerly known as The Latter Rain Assembly) and as the convener of The Save Nigeria Group. A relentless patriot, trans-generational connector and statesman with wide-ranging interests across nation-building, entrepreneurship, notfor-profit social investments, Global Apostolic Impact Network (GAIN) and international diplomacy. Bakare remains a model citizen, a force for galvanizing positive actions, an unrepentant advocate of winning by righteousness and uncompromising non-conformist to the status-quo. He is happily married to Layide Adetokunbo Bakare and they are blessed with five wonderful children and amazing grandchildren
